About TSRE

The Stu Reid Experiment began as a twinkle in the eye of a few music-loving friends. Started in the summer of 2008 under the loving care of Chris and Zack, TSRE soon grew to be a worldwide phenomenon - a global domination that was only furthered by the addition of Ben to the writing staff. After we expanded our coverage to include concert reviews, authoritative year-end lists, and star-studded interviews, one particularly enthusiastic aspiring artist - in an attempt to get his music posted - hailed TSRE as "a cornerstone of the music world." While we aren't so arrogant as to believe that, we think TSRE provides a good smattering of music without taking itself too seriously. None of us are Stu Reid. All of us are Stu Reid. You are now Stu Reid.

The Writers:
Chris
I'm a writer and photographer trying to figure out New York City at the moment, after a great year and a half in Boston. I keep busy by interning at Rolling Stone, writing and photographing for Melophobe, and reviewing albums for Pretty Much Amazing, in addition to snuggling up with TSRE. In my free time I take pictures, go to shows, cook, go outside, and do all of the other things traditionally listed in the "About Me" section of countless Facebook profiles. Musically, I've recently tended toward big beats and breaks, but at any given time you can find me grooving to everything from Clipse to Neu! If it has handclaps in it, chances are I love it. Zack
Hi there. I'm a soon-to-be graduate student in history who has spent most of his life in New England. I try to explore art, music, and culture as much as possible and have worked for the past two years at a Boston art gallery. Reading books is cool, as is eating. I like being outside and I prefer sweatshirts without hoods. Of the many awesome trends of the 2000s my favorites so far are the rebirth of 80s fashion/style, including, but not limited to flannel and neon, performance base layers, and Paul Pierce. Thank God its cool to like the Depeche Mode again. On the musical side I listen to a lot of different things, but probably feel the safest when vocals are not at the forefront.

Ben
Ben is an international man of mystery. He likes classical music. He likes soul. He has the best taste in music of anyone in the world.
